Is the telephone number a Premium Rate number?

The Legal Service does not use a premium rate number.

It is a standard 0845 line charged at BT's prevailing rates.

0845 numbers are charged at prices that are the same irrespective of where you are calling from in the UK.  We understand from BT’s website that the current charges are up to 3p per minute daytime and 1p per minute evening and weekend.

Accountancy Practices - can I use the service to obtain advice on behalf of clients.

No it is a single user licence for the Practice.  If you were to contact the service for advice on behalf of a client iQ would take no legal responsibility for the advice you pass on to your client, as there is the possibility of misunderstanding when conveying to a third party.  The service does not allow you to pass the ID to the client to contact the service direct.

What we can do is make a similar service available to your client, which whilst not at the very special price of the ACCA service, would still be very cost effective.  The charge for the client service would be £95 + VAT.

Does the “personal issues” cover me or legal issues affecting my family e.g. my wife/children?

Personal Cover “refers to the subscriber and his/her immediate family residing with them.”
